BSA Open Water Scuba Diver & Merritt Badge

You'll start by watching the fun DVD's! We suggest signing up at least 1 week in advance - we'll send you or you may pick-up the PADI Open Water Course materials (Crew Pack). You'll complete your reading and knowledge reviews at home so you're ready and fully prepared to start the course and dive in.

Or for an additional fee you can complete the knowledge development portion of the PADI Open Water Diver course online with PADI eLearning.!

then It's time to get wet!.

After you have finished the academic portion of the PADI Open Water Diver Course you will meet with your private instructor and apply the knowledge that you just learned using the video and book and the two of you will go over the skills that you will need to become certified as a PADI Open Water scuba diver. (Skills are setting up your scuba gear to breathing underwater mask clearing and more! You'll have plenty of time to practice & have fun in the pool.)

Once you have mastered the skills that are needed you will head to the Springs and do 2 open water check out dives, once that is done the next day you will go back to the springs for your final 2 open water check out dives.
